The New York State Child Care Educational Incentive Program (EIP) is a scholarship program designed to assist child care providers obtain the training and education they need to provide quality care to children. Eligibility is based on your employment, income, and type of education/training you choose.
The classes and courses available through the Resource Network may be paid for using this scholarship.
We strongly encourage providers to apply as soon as they have registered for classes, seminars or conferences. IMPORTANT INFORMATION Submitting Your Application:
If your courses start between:
January 1 and June 30
You must submit your application(s):no later than June 1 Applications received after this deadline date will be returned.
If your courses start between: July 1 and December 30
You must submit your application(s):between May 15 and December 1 Applications received before these dates will be returned.
You may be eligible to access up to $2,000 per EIP year. Depending on your income, you may qualify for 25%, 50%, 75%, or 100% of your requested course cost. Refer to the income charts on page 7 of the EIP Information Booklet to determine what percentage of your course EIP may cover.

NOTE: Employment Verification is required. You must submit a document verifying current employment. The following are acceptable:

For Group or Family Day Care owners only: Copy of current registration or license OR Copy of Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) check/stub OR Copy of Local Dept. of Social Services/Agency for Child Development (LDSS/ACD) check/stub for subsidized child care

For center, Head Start, school-age child care, and group family day care staff: Copy of current pay stub OR Original letter of employment verification from Director, owner, CEO, or Board of Directors Personnel Chair on letterhead
