Child Care Resource Network provides classes to support you every step along the way to becoming a group family child care provider.

Step1: INTRODUCTION TO CHILD CARE CLASS

The Introduction to Child Care class is an important beginning to launch your career in early care and education.

This introductory class will provide you with an overview of:
1. the child care process in New York State;
2. the New York State Family/Group Family Child Day Care Regulations;
3. your obligations under the state and local regulations;
3. issues that you will encounter as you prepare to set up your business.

In addition, you will have an opportunity to have your questions answered and be able to ask questions regarding the process. Once you have completed the Introduction to Child Care class, you will be eligible to attend an Application Workshop designed to give additional assistance in filling out the application to become a child care provider.

For further information regarding attending the Introduction to Child Care class, contact us or you can take this class online.

Step2: APPLICATION WORKSHOP

Did you complete Step #1: The Introduction to Child Care Class? If you attended the classroom session or did the Introduction session online, then you are eligible to proceed to Step #2. Remember that the Introduction class is a pre-requisite to the Application Class.

When you are ready to complete this step, you can either attend a classroom session or contact us to receive the current password so you can access this online training. Please note that the password will change on a regular basis.

The Application Workshop will give you helpful hints to fill out many of the pages that need to be submitted. This workshop specifically helps you with the State Central Register Clearance form, the Emergency Evacuation Plan, the Daily Program Routine, and the Discipline Policy.

At the end of the session, you will be asked for your name and address so your completion certificate can be mailed to you. Thank you for taking this online training class. You can take this workshop online.
